Can Tho: Opening of Vietnam International Agricultural Fair 2024

The fair had nearly 400 booths of 100 units and enterprises from 20 provinces and cities of Vietnam and countries and territories such as Korea, Japan, China... participating in the exhibition.

The products on display and introduced are in the fields of agricultural machinery and equipment, production lines, agricultural processing, agricultural materials, fertilizers, pesticides, supporting technology for high-tech agriculture, solutions to promote agricultural product connections, post-harvest preservation techniques, and regional specialties.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien - Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee said that the Fair is an annual event, organized by the city since 1997. Through many times of organization, the event has contributed to promoting trade promotion activities, strengthening trade connections, cooperation in developing high-tech agriculture, creating conditions for businesses to promote their brands, expand markets, honor the value of agricultural, forestry, aquatic products and introduce scientific advances and new achievements in agricultural production.

This is also an opportunity to introduce the potential and strengths in general and of the agricultural sector in particular of the Mekong Delta provinces to associations, businesses, and domestic and foreign investors.

The fair takes place from November 1 to 5, 2024, with many rich and diverse activities, such as: Can Tho Agricultural Technology and Equipment Market 2024 - TechAgri Can Tho 2024; Workshop "Introducing Ecobiznet's microbial products in the agricultural sector in Vietnam"; Conference "Announcing the planning of the Agriculture and Rural Development sector of Can Tho City for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050".

At the opening ceremony of the fair, there was also a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on trade and investment promotion cooperation between three localities: Can Tho city, An Giang province and Dong Thap.

This Memorandum of Understanding will be the basis for the centers of the three provinces and cities to unify cooperation activities, support each other to promote strengths and potentials for trade and investment promotion. Thereby, supporting businesses of each locality to promote and expand investment and business cooperation by combining the resources and strengths of each locality.
