Mekong Delta joins hands to share losses caused by storm No. 10

On October 6, localities in the Mekong Delta simultaneously launched many activities to call for support for people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City received contributions from units

Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, said that on October 6, Can Tho City donated 2.5 billion VND (from the relief fund) to support people in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh , Nghe An, Ninh Binh and Quang Tri (each locality received 500 million VND) to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 10.

In addition, Can Tho City has also issued a call for cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and workers in the city to participate in donating 1 day's salary; agencies, units, organizations, businesses, and individuals inside and outside the city to respond to support people in disadvantaged provinces on a voluntary basis, depending on their ability to contribute and their generosity. The reception period is from October 3 to October 31, 2025.

On the same day, the People's Court of Can Tho City organized a fundraising ceremony to support people in the Northern and North Central provinces who are suffering heavy losses due to storm No. 10. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the People's Court of Can Tho City raised more than 100 million VND to support people in disaster-stricken areas to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and restore production.

In Vinh Long , Mr. Le Van Han, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, said that the unit had just organized a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 10. Specifically, the unit agreed that for cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, and those who receive salaries from the state budget, each person contributed at least 1 day's salary; workers contributed 1 day's income.

For union members, youth, and households with average or higher living standards who save on spending, donate 50,000 VND or more. Agencies, organizations, businesses, children and philanthropists can contribute depending on their conditions and heart. The unit will receive donations from October 7 to November 7, 2025.
