Since mid-August, social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram have been flooded with portraits and landscapes in the anime style (Japanese animation style) from the Loopsie app for iPhone.
Loopsie works like most apps today; users simply upload photos, and the app recognizes and recreates them into drawings in various styles. The app features an Old School Anime filter, which helps create anime-style images and has become a sensation on social media.

The Loopsie app also requests access to the user's photo library, phone camera, and other permissions such as email information and internet access.
The images will be uploaded to the service provider's servers, so there is a risk of data leakage, and if the image library falls into the wrong hands, they could train AI to use deepfake technology to create fake images and videos for various purposes, including fraud.
On August 23rd, Bkav announced that its malware monitoring and warning system has recorded a significant increase in the number of computers infected with the Fabookie malware, which specializes in stealing Facebook Business accounts. In July alone, over 100,000 computers in Vietnam were infected with this malware.
The Fabookie malware is specifically designed to attack Facebook Business accounts. Hackers can use the victim's account to silently run ads instead of immediately changing the password and taking over the account.
Bkav advises internet users to limit the use of the password saving function on browsers for important accounts; and to use antivirus software and network security solutions to ensure the safety of personal computers as well as systems in agencies, organizations, and businesses.
