"Over the past 12 months, people in Gaza have suffered from hunger, with 90% of children suffering from hunger," the aid organization said in a post on social media platform X. The PRCS stressed the need to continue working to end the current food crisis.
Earlier in June, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimated that nearly 3,000 children in the Gaza Strip were at risk of death from malnutrition.
UNICEF said safe humanitarian access and a ceasefire were needed to restart aid supplies to the Palestinian enclave.
In a related development, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry announced on October 12 the evacuation of 35 of its citizens from Lebanon on a military plane.
Ministry spokesman Sufian Qudah said that since the beginning of August, 3,285 Jordanians have returned to the country from Lebanon through the country's Queen Alia International Airport, not counting those who entered by land through the Jaber border crossing with Syria.
