The Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc has just issued a warning about fake and untrue news spreading related to instructions on looking up 10th grade high school entrance exam scores.
According to the Department, at noon on June 12, a screenshot of a phone was circulated on some groups, in which the information content was edited, cut, and distorted from the article "Instructions for looking up 10th grade entrance exam scores online" on the Department of Education and Training's website at Vinhphuc.edu.vn.
Specifically, in the exam score lookup guide, the bad guys edited the correct sentence: "Candidates enter their registration number or citizen identification number in the search box" into the incorrect sentence: "Candidates enter their report number or citizen identification number in the search box".
The fake photo was identified as being spread on Zalo groups (Source: Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training).
The Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc confirmed that the spelling mistake mentioned in this photo is false information, not consistent with the original article posted on Vinhphuc.edu.vn.
Below the comments, there are also QR codes or fake links to check scores.
The Department recommends that readers be vigilant, verify and verify the source, not distribute the photo below and make a report to repel the spread of fake news.
In the context of fake news, toxic news, and even fraudulent links appearing to steal property, parents and students need to be extremely careful when clicking on strange links.
