Who is "boss" Cao Tien Doan whose workplace was recently searched by the police?

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Cao Tien Doan is not only the head of Dong A Real Estate Group but also the "boss" of Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club and Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province Business Association.

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, on the evening of August 28, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency executed an emergency search warrant at the workplace of Mr. Cao Tien Doan (born in 1960, residing in Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province).

Mr. Doan is Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Dong A Real Estate Group Company Limited, headquartered at 01A Nguyen Hieu, Le Loi Avenue, Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province.

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the reason for the search was because the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency received a report from a citizen denouncing Mr. Cao Tien Doan's illegal behavior.

The investigation determined that Mr. Cao Tien Doan violated accounting regulations causing serious consequences as prescribed in Article 221 of the 2015 Penal Code.

Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and clarify the violation to strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.

In addition to his role as head of Dong A Real Estate Group, Mr. Doan is also a delegate of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association, and the "boss" of Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club.

According to the National Business Registration Portal, Mr. Cao Tien Doan is the legal representative of Dong A Real Estate Group Company Limited. Dong A Real Estate Group was established in October 1996, with an initial capital of 10 billion VND, operating mainly in the fields of construction, investment and real estate trading.

In March 2017, Dong A increased its charter capital from VND 262 billion to VND 583 billion.

By April 2020, the company increased its charter capital to VND689 billion. Of which, Mr. Cao Tien Doan holds the controlling stake with a 57.71% ownership ratio. The remaining three individual shareholders are Ms. Nguyen Thi Diep (13.676%), Mr. Cao Van Phu (6.776%) and Mr. Cao Duc Thien (21.777%).

Since mid-April, the company's shareholder structure includes Mr. Cao Tien Doan holding 84.5% of shares, the remaining 14.5% of shareholders belong to Mr. Nguyen Huu Duong and Nguyen Trong Tu.

In addition to Dong A Group, Mr. Doan is currently the legal representative of Thanh Hoa Entrepreneurs Group Joint Stock Company. This enterprise was introduced to be established in March 2018, with its headquarters located at Dong A building, 11A1 Tan Huong, Thanh Hoa province.

Besides, in early 2020, Mr. Cao Tien Doan was handed over the management and operation of Thanh Hoa province football club.

At the end of November 2020, Thanh Hoa Football Club LLC came into operation with a charter capital of 36 billion VND. Since then, the team has been named Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club with “Elect” Doan as Chairman.
