On April 18, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 794 of the Prime Minister to award the Certificate of Merit to Major Nguyen Dang Khai, Department of Drug Crime Investigation, Quang Ninh Provincial Police, Ministry of Public Security , who sacrificed his life while performing the task of fighting and arresting criminals of illegal drug trafficking.
Previously, through the fight against the inter-provincial drug trafficking and transportation ring, at around 8:20 p.m. on April 17, in the area near Dragon Castle apartment building (in Group 10, Zone 10, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh ), the Quang Ninh Provincial Police working group chaired by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department discovered and arrested 2 subjects, seizing 16 heroin cakes.
During the police pursuit, the remaining suspects used military weapons to attack the police force, causing Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Khai to be shot and killed, and another soldier to be injured.
Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang signed a decision to promote officer Nguyen Dang Khai (born in 1996, hometown Phu Cu district, Hung Yen ) from Senior Lieutenant to Major.
So far, Quang Ninh Provincial Police have arrested four suspects: Nguyen Huu Dang (born in 1967, residing in Hung Thang Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh), Ha Thuong Hai (born in 1994, residing in Thu Cuc Center 2, Tan Son District, Phu Tho), Ha Quang Son and Hoang Van Dong.
Bui Dinh Khanh (born in 1994, residing in Gieng Day ward, Ha Long city), the suspect who shot Major Nguyen Dang Khai, is on the run and wanted by the police.
The police agency announced that anyone has the right to arrest and immediately take Bui Dinh Khanh to the nearest police agency, the Procuracy or the People's Committee. After arresting or receiving the wanted person, the people should immediately report to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police. Phone: 0692808195.
