Emergency care for a woman who gave birth while parking her car at the hospital

The pregnant woman is LTL (35 years old, in Chuong My District, Hanoi ) who is 40 weeks pregnant for the third time and was taken by her family to Ha Dong General Hospital. At the hospital, while she was parking her car to enter the examination area, Ms. LTL went into labor.

At that time, a fourth-year male student from Hoa Binh University, who was interning at Ha Dong General Hospital, came and quickly delivered the baby. At the same time, upon receiving the request for assistance, the emergency team from the Emergency Department of the hospital also quickly arrived in time to deliver the baby, cut the umbilical cord for the newborn and contacted the Obstetrics Department to receive the mother and baby. The medical team of the Obstetrics Department quickly received the baby, performed initial resuscitation and transported the mother for further monitoring and treatment.

Thanks to the urgent coordination of the Emergency Surgery and Obstetrics departments, mother and baby are now safe, the baby weighs 4 kg and is healthy.
