Notably, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has reported to the Ministry of Health requesting support in providing medicine to treat hand, foot and mouth disease (Immunoglobulin, Phenobarbital) when the situation becomes complicated.

Regarding the supply of the above drugs, the Drug Administration (Ministry of Health ) said that there are currently 13 drugs containing Immunoglobulin that have been granted valid circulation registration certificates in Vietnam. Importing establishments have counted the remaining quantity of Immunoglobulin drugs and have plans to import them to Vietnam.
For Phenobarbital, there is currently a domestically produced type with a valid circulation registration certificate. In addition, the Drug Administration has granted permission to Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 1 to import Barbiturate (a drug that has not yet been registered for circulation in Vietnam) to meet special treatment needs.
