Exhumation of 12 sets of martyrs' remains in Cambodia

On May 7 and 8, the Working Group of the Kien Giang Provincial Task Force led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of Team K92 (Kien Giang Provincial Military Command) who are performing the task of searching for, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in the Kingdom of Cambodia, dry season 2024 - 2025.

The delegation visited the working groups of Team K92 stationed in Koh Kong and Kampot provinces.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung, Team Leader of Team K92, reported on the implementation of the mission in the field. Up to now, the Team has recovered 12 sets of martyrs' remains, including 9 sets in Kampot province, 1 set in Preah Sihanouk and 2 sets in Koh Kong.

Despite facing many difficulties such as harsh weather, lack of water for daily use, complicated epidemics, inaccurate grave information and rugged mountainous terrain, the officers and soldiers still maintained their spirit, made efforts to overcome difficulties and completed the sacred mission assigned by the Party, State and army. The team also recommended that the provincial leaders pay attention and provide additional means and medicine to prevent diseases to ensure the health of the task force.
