Quang Ha's "surprise" and the moment he "shot to stardom"

Thanks to the hit song "Ngo" (Unexpected), Quang Ha's name became deeply ingrained in the hearts of the audience, helping him buy a house and a car.

Quang Hà was a guest on episode 16 of the show "Evening Stories with Stars". He shared that in the early days of his career in Ho Chi Minh City, he often traveled to Ho Chi Minh City by motorbike taxi, ate cheap street food, and had to take care of everything himself.

He released his debut album, but it wasn't well-received by the public because the genre was niche. Afterward, he saved up money to make a second album, which included the song "Destiny." Later, "Destiny" became a major hit in his career.

Quang Hà, nicknamed "The Man Who Thought I Was," talks about his singing career.

Revealing the reason for naming his second album "If I Return," the singer said that at the time he thought if the album wasn't successful, he would return to Hanoi because he would have no money left. During the time he was completing the album, he was robbed of all his belongings, and didn't even have money for parking.

Fortunately, the song "Destiny" was played on the "Melodies of Love" program and became a huge hit, leading to performance opportunities for Quang Ha. "I was thinking I would have to return to Hanoi when another door opened. That was also 'destiny' that completely changed my singing career. From a singer earning 50,000 VND per show, I was paid 1,200,000 VND per performance," Quang Ha recounted.

The male singer added that the only thing keeping him in Ho Chi Minh City was his passion for singing. Therefore, despite facing countless difficulties initially, he persevered. To this day, that passion still burns brightly within him.

To be loved and supported by his audience throughout his more than 20-year singing career, Quang Ha revealed his secret is knowing how to "transform" and adapt to changing times.

He adapts to changing trends, listening to the modern sensibilities and the needs of today's audience. His music is more relatable to his listeners.

According to Quang Ha, the time when he earned the most money was when the song "Ngo" was released to the audience.

"I've been able to buy a house, a car, and not just any house, but a big house and a big car," the male singer expressed.

Quang Ha added: "I owned my first house in 2005. I've loved singing since I was 5 years old. I was the choir leader from the first grade and often stood on the school grounds singing for my classmates. I've wanted to become a singer since I was in the fifth grade."
