The launching ceremony of the TV program "Hello Vietnamese" and the contest "Searching for Vietnamese Ambassadors Abroad in 2023" was recently held by the Vietnam Education Publishing House in coordination with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs ) and the Foreign Television Department (Vietnam Television) in Hanoi.

The program was also connected online to more than 90 Vietnamese representative agencies abroad, with the participation of leaders and representatives of Vietnamese embassies and consulates abroad, representatives of the Vietnamese community abroad and Vietnamese language schools and facilities abroad.
"Hello Vietnamese" serves primary school-age audiences, born and raised abroad; 15 minutes/episode, broadcast weekly on VTV4's television channel and social media platforms.
The program aims to inspire children with Vietnamese through games, songs, stories, poems, nursery rhymes or dances. From lessons to exercises, learners are put into specific communication situations, similar to everyday communication, so that learners can easily absorb Vietnamese language and apply it in real life. In addition, each broadcast has a "Learning Country" section with short stories, just enough to arouse curiosity and motivate children to get closer to the traditional culture of the nation.
VietnamEducation Publishing House compiled and published the book series "Hello Vietnamese" with the desire to consolidate and develop the language and cultural identity of the Vietnamese people; arouse and promote the spirit of turning towards the homeland and country; contribute to promoting the Vietnamese language and culture abroad.
"Hello Vietnamese" is designed for Vietnamese children living abroad in two age groups: 6 to 10 years old and 10 to 15 years old; teachers and parents guide students to learn Vietnamese in groups or at home. With characters and plots built in a modern style, the program hopes to create excitement for children learning Vietnamese around the world .
Mr. Mai Phan Dung, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), welcomed and highly appreciated the TV program "Hello Vietnamese" developed by the Vietnam Education Publishing House and Vietnam Television, accompanying the textbook "Hello Vietnamese" by author Thuy Anh, published by the Vietnam Education Publishing House.
Mr. Mai Phan Dung expressed his belief that the program, with the advantage of being easily accessible on television and digital platforms, will be warmly welcomed by the people and achieve many positive results in enhancing the teaching of Vietnamese for Vietnamese children abroad.
On this occasion, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese officially launched the Contest "Searching for Vietnamese Ambassadors Abroad in 2023". This is the first year the contest has been held, targeting 5.3 million Vietnamese people abroad, especially expanding the participants to foreigners who love and are fluent in Vietnamese.
The contest "Searching for Vietnamese Ambassadors Abroad in 2023" will be held in 3 stages, in nearly 5 months, from April 1 to August 10, to increase the opportunity for many candidates to participate. The 5 best candidates selected in the final round will be awarded the title "Vietnamese Ambassadors Abroad in 2023" at the Closing Ceremony of Vietnamese Language Honor Day 2023 (September 8).
The Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese hopes that this year's contest and the following years will create an important network, connecting individuals who are "Vietnamese Ambassadors Abroad" around the world.
