Grandson finds lost grandmother nearly 90 years old thanks to help from traffic police

A thank you letter has just been sent by the family of Mrs. Duong Thi Mach (born in 1938) to Traffic Police Team No. 10 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) after officers and soldiers of the unit supported and helped the family, promptly bringing the old woman home safely.

Previously, on the morning of June 29, Captain Bui Tien Vinh (officer of Traffic Police Team No. 10) was assigned to be on duty at the unit's headquarters.

At this time, Captain Vinh was informed by nearby residents that there was an old woman who was possibly lost and looked somewhat tired due to the weather.

The family went to the headquarters of Traffic Police Team No. 10 to take Mrs. Duong Thi Mach home.

Captain Vinh then took the old woman to the headquarters to take care of her health and to ask about her family. However, due to her old age, the old woman could no longer remember her full name, home address or relatives except for the data that she lived near the “La Ca Village” area.

From the limited information above, Captain Bui Tien Vinh and his teammates coordinated with the Duong Noi Ward Police (Ha Dong District, Hanoi ). At 10:30 a.m. the same day, the police contacted the old lady's grandson, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, and invited him to the headquarters of Traffic Police Team No. 10 to pick her up.

Talking to Captain Vinh, Mr. Dong said that his grandmother's name was Duong Thi Mach (born in 1938). This morning she left the house early, making everyone very worried. They searched everywhere but could not find her. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they received a phone call from the Hanoi Traffic Police.

Expressing his gratitude to Captain Bui Tien Vinh and the officers of Traffic Police Team No. 10, Mr. Dong sent a letter of sincere thanks to the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police for their timely support and assistance to the people.
