On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), from August 30 to September 1, units under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command organized many practical activities, associated with political tasks and social security work in the area.
In Xuan Canh commune, Xuan Hoa Border Guard Station coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Canh commune to present 10 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND and five bicycles to 15 students of the "Step Up to School" and "Godmother" programs and children in difficult circumstances. The total value of 10.5 million VND was raised from the contributions of benefactors. The program has motivated the children to strive to study, while strengthening the solidarity between the army and people at the coastal border.
In Tuy Hoa ward, Tuy Hoa Border Guard Station coordinated with Radar Station 560, Regiment 451 (Naval Region 4 Command) to visit and present gifts to Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Dac Thanh, former Captain of the Ship Without Number.
At the age of 92, he was still lucid and emotional when he and his fellow officers and soldiers recalled the arduous years of crossing the sea, cleverly and courageously transporting weapons to support the southern battlefield. The meeting was an opportunity for today's generation to pay tribute to the great contributions of the previous generation in the cause of national liberation.
At Xuan Dai Border Guard Station, a seminar was held with the theme "Raising high the August red flag - Xuan Dai Border Guard Station's youth take the initiative to firmly protect sovereignty and security of the sea and island borders".
The delegates reviewed the historical journey of the August Revolution, affirmed the value and lessons learned; and emphasized the role and responsibility of youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland . On this occasion, the unit donated 100 books to the Library of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School, contributing to spreading the reading culture in schools.
Along with that, the unit also coordinated with benefactors to deploy the model "Livelihood chicken flock" to support two disadvantaged households, each household was given 50 chickens that had been cared for and fully vaccinated.
The series of activities demonstrated the sentiments and responsibilities of officers and soldiers of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard in showing gratitude to the previous generation, caring for people's lives and educating the revolutionary tradition to the younger generation, thereby continuing to beautify the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the sea and island borders.
