On the afternoon of April 18, Mr. Tran Duc Thien, Chairman of Phong Hien Ward People's Committee (Phong Dien Town, Hue City) said that initial statistics showed that the fire at An Lo market caused damage of about more than 3 billion VND.
The most severely damaged were the An Lo Market Management Office and many small traders. Among them, 4 fruit traders, 1 grocery seller, 1 electric bicycle seller, and 1 photographer and beauty salon were among the businesses that suffered the most damage.

Through initial investigation, authorities determined that the fire originated on the 2nd floor of Phu Thuy grocery store in An Lo market.

To quickly stabilize the situation for small traders after the fire, Phong Hien Ward People's Committee requested Phong Dien Town People's Committee to direct Phong Dien Electricity to inspect and repair the electrical system, ensuring safety before and after energizing An Lo market. The ward also requested Hue City People's Committee to soon have a support policy for businesses affected by the fire.

As reported by CAND Online, at around 1pm on April 18, a fire broke out at An Lo market. Just a few minutes after the fire started, the fire at An Lo market burned fiercely with many columns of black smoke rising high due to the hot weather and strong winds. Fortunately, the Fire Police and Rescue Police of Hue City arrived at the scene in time, along with the people and traders, to put out the fire, helping to reduce the damage.
The police are currently investigating to clarify the cause of the fire.
