Fire in mini apartment building in Da Nang, many trapped people rescued

Initial information, at around 7:30 p.m. on October 18, a fire broke out at a 7-storey apartment building for rent (mini apartment building) located on Lam Hoanh Street, Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City.

At this time, people discovered fire and smoke rising from the first floor of the building so they shouted to put out the fire.

Authorities used a ladder truck to rescue trapped people.

However, due to the large amount of smoke, people could not access to use fire extinguishers to put out the fire, so they had to call the Fire Department and rescue force.

At this time, many people on the upper floors could not escape and were trapped inside the building. Many people had to run to the windows to signal for help. At the same time, some people found their way to the roof of the neighboring building to ensure safety and wait for the rescue team.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Da Nang City mobilized vehicles and forces from many units to participate in fighting the fire, including ladder trucks to rescue many people trapped on high floors.

Fire trucks were mobilized to the scene to put out the fire.

Firefighters divided into many teams to put out the fire, and at the same time used a 50m high ladder truck to promptly rescue people trapped on the upper floors.

Fortunately, the fire was extinguished later and the trapped people were rescued safely.

The case is under investigation.
