At 10:30 a.m. the same day, people in Hamlet 8, An Phuoc Commune heard a loud explosion at the foam factory of a company specializing in the production of all kinds of foam boxes.

Because there were many flammable materials inside, the fire broke out very quickly. A column of black smoke rose hundreds of meters high at noon, forcing many neighboring households to run outside for fear that the fire would spread to the residential area.

The factory on fire was located right in the middle of a residential area.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Dong Nai Province mobilized many specialized vehicles and dozens of officers to the scene to put out the fire. Due to the widespread fire, hot weather and many types of flammable materials, firefighting was difficult.

By 12 noon the same day, the fire fighting force had basically controlled the fire and continued to make efforts to completely extinguish the smoldering fire inside.
