On the afternoon of April 18, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, Thanh Xuan District Police, said that the fire broke out at around 3:45 p.m. the same day at the Pattaya Club karaoke bar on Nguyen Tuan Street (Nhan Chinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District).

According to the leader, the incident did not cause any human damage. After receiving the report, the unit mobilized about 5 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.
After only a few minutes the fire was under control, however the authorities were still working to remove smoke and extinguish the fire.

According to reporters at the scene, at 4 p.m. the same day, many people stood watching the fire fighting force. Police set up a barricade on part of Nguyen Tuan Street to assist in fire fighting.

According to the reporter's observation, the area of fire was a karaoke bar located near Nguyen Tuan Street. According to some witnesses, the karaoke bar had stopped operating at the time of the fire.
The cause of the incident is being investigated.
