
Specifically: At 3:30 AM on the same day, a tractor-trailer with license plate 50H - 71249, towing a trailer with license plate 51R - 03155, was parked next to National Highway 29 when a fire suddenly broke out. The vehicle was carrying nearly 2,500 crates of Quy Nhon brand bottled beer; the driver and owner of the vehicle are currently unknown.
Upon discovering the incident, several local residents shouted for help and, along with the driver, attempted to extinguish the fire. However, the flames spread rapidly and could not be put out. The residents then reported the incident to the commune police and other relevant authorities.
Upon receiving the report, the Ea Bá commune police, along with the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 11 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police) with more than 10 officers and soldiers and 2 fire trucks, arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
By approximately 4:45 AM the same day, the fire on the tractor-trailer was brought under control and extinguished. The incident caused no casualties but resulted in significant damage to the vehicle and property on board, with preliminary estimates exceeding 1 billion VND.
Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage and investigating the cause of the fire in order to take appropriate legal action.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police recommends that, given the current hot weather, people should raise their awareness and vigilance in fire prevention and control; this includes ensuring safety while driving to avoid unfortunate accidents that cause loss of life and property.
