Chelsea set record for player recruitment

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton & Hove Albion, marking a surprise deal as the summer transfer window draws to a close.

Buonanotte attracted attention with his technical playing style, skillful dribbling and impressive scoring ability.

According to The Athletic , this is a loan deal, without a mandatory buyout clause, but will make "The Blues" set a record for recruiting new players in the past 4 years. Previously, "The Blues" were also about to complete the recruitment of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United for 46.2 million euros.

According to Opta , if the Buonanotte and Garnacho deals are completed, Chelsea will have brought in 52 new players in just 4 years (the last 8 transfer windows), a number far exceeding any club in the top 5 European leagues.

Buonanotte, who scored six goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances on loan at Leicester City last season, is expected to ease the burden on Cole Palmer in the attacking midfield role.
