Vietnamese representative won second place at the international volleyball tournament

The People's Public Security volleyball team lost 1-3 to the Indonesian Police team and finished second in the 2025 International Police Volleyball Championship.

On the evening of August 30, the final match of the 2025 International Police Friendly Volleyball Tournament between the host team People's Public Security and the Indonesian Police took place at the National Defense Sports Stadium II of Military Region 7 (HCMC).

Before the match, the Indonesian representative was rated higher than the home team. The evidence showed that they defeated the People's Public Security team 3-0 in the opening match.

However, coach Duong Tan Vinh and his team played with great determination and with the enthusiastic support of the fans, they surprisingly won the first set with a score of 25-18.

Smasher Pham Quoc Du had many impressive scoring moves that left his opponent stunned. However, the Indonesian representative quickly regained his composure and won the second set 25-20.

The third and fourth sets were extremely dramatic as the two teams fought for each point. Unfortunately, luck was not on the Vietnamese representatives' side as they lost 25-27 and 23-25 ​​respectively, thus accepting a 1-3 defeat.

However, the People's Public Security team was somewhat comforted when athlete Pham Quoc Du received the title of outstanding overall athlete of the tournament.

2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament

The 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament was organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in coordination with relevant agencies to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force Tradition Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

The tournament brings together 6 participating teams, more than 150 athletes from 4 Southeast Asian countries and competes in 11 matches in 5 consecutive days.

Vietnam has 3 participating teams, including the People's Public Security, the Army and Hanoi . On the international side, there are the Lao Ministry of Public Security team, the Cambodian Ministry of Interior team and the Indonesian Police team.
