Regional Customs Branch VII manages 5 Northwestern provinces.

(HQ Online) - On March 12, in Lao Cai city (Lao Cai province), the Customs Department (Ministry of Finance) held a conference to announce the decision on functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure and the decision to appoint leaders of the Customs Branch of Region VII.

Attending the Conference were Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh and Deputy Director of Customs Au Anh Tuan.

At the Conference, representatives of the Personnel Organization Board (Customs Department) announced the decision of the Ministry of Finance on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Regional Customs Branch VII (under the Customs Department).

Accordingly, the Regional Customs Branch VII has its headquarters located in Lao Cai city, and its management area includes 5 provinces: Ha Giang , Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, and Son La.

The representative of the Personnel Organization Board announced that the Customs Department has issued a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nong Phi Quang, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Tax Department (General Department of Customs) to hold the position of Director of the Customs Branch of Region VII from March 15.

The conference also announced the decision of the Director of the Customs Department on the transfer and appointment of Deputy Directors of the Customs Branch of Region VII for Mr. Tran Vu Hoang (Director of Dien Bien Customs Department), Mr. Le Phuong (Deputy Director of Lao Cai Customs Department), Mr. Tran Phu Cuong (Deputy Director of Dien Bien Customs Department), Mr. Nguyen Minh Thanh (Deputy Director of Ha Giang Customs Department), Mr. Nguyen Quyet Chien (Deputy Director of Lao Cai Customs Department) and Mr. Lo Van Ngoi (Deputy Director of Dien Bien Customs Department) from March 15.

At the conference, Deputy Director of the Customs Department Au Anh Tuan requested the leaders of the Customs Branch of Region VII to continue promoting their management and operation capacity; closely follow and concretize the contents and key work programs of the Customs Department, the Ministry of Finance as well as programs and plans for local economic and social development in performing the unit's duties and tasks.

On behalf of the appointed leaders, Deputy Head of Customs Branch Region VII Nguyen Minh Thanh expressed deep gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Department for entrusting him with the task.

At the same time, he expressed his determination to unite with the Branch Director and leaders to successfully complete the task. Especially focusing on implementing digital customs and smart border gates to create favorable conditions for businesses and people in importing and exporting goods and effectively implementing the fight against smuggling...
