At a recent meeting at Stop And Go Art Space (88 Ly Tu Trong, Da Lat City, Lam Dong ), he shared very interesting things about his work in nude art photography. According to photographer Thai Phien, nude photographers are like tightrope walkers, the line between "aesthetics" and "sensuality" is very fragile, just a little bit off and it's over! "The 25 photos displayed here are only 1/10 of the total 250 photos in the photo series Sunshine Behind the Curtain that I took during the time Ho Chi Minh City implemented social distancing to prevent and fight the COVID-19 pandemic," he shared. In this photo series, photographer Thai Phien used natural light, combined with spotlights to create rays of light like streaks of sunlight shining through curtains. He focused on exploiting variations of basic yoga movements through the artist's delicate perspective. In addition, photographer Thai Phien has also mobilized knowledge of physics, mathematics... to create nude photos that fully express the quintessence of yoga art. With 32 years of specializing in nude art photography, from 1992 to present, he confided: To go a long way with nude art photography, you must look at the model with an "aesthetic" eye, not a "sensual" eye. According to photographer Thai Phien, every profession has exceptions, and nude art photography is no exception! It is not certain that young models will have beautiful photos.
