With a simple and modest lifestyle, always upholding the sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and passion for work, being close to colleagues and the people, Captain Nguyen Thanh Cong is also a typical example in studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh , contributing to building the image of a police officer in the hearts of the people.

During the peak of the chip-embedded citizen identification card issuance campaign, he boldly proposed and encouraged his teammates to go to remote communes, areas where ethnic minorities live and "go to every alley, knock on every door" to propagate and mobilize people about the meaning of chip-embedded electronic citizen identification cards, thereby helping the unit to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Thanks to his tireless efforts, in 2023, at the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hai Ha District Police (term 2022-2024), Captain Nguyen Thanh Cong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Youth Union.
