The market, though only lasting an evening, created an unusually vibrant atmosphere. From late afternoon, the Yen Lac area lit up with stalls from the 26 villages in the commune. Under the lights, vermicelli made from cassava starch, bamboo shoots, sticky rice, honey, traditional cakes, and other produce were neatly and attractively displayed, drawing large crowds of locals and tourists. Many were delighted because it's rare for local agricultural products to be showcased in such a lively and experiential setting.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nga, a vendor, shared: "Agricultural products sold at the night market are more successful than on weekdays. Customers can see, try, and take photos to post on social media; then they contact us to place orders."
Ms. Nga's story demonstrates that the effectiveness of this innovative approach goes beyond simply generating revenue in a single evening; it also expands market access opportunities through the digital environment and direct interaction with consumers.
According to the People's Committee of Na Rì commune, the organization of the night market aims to create a cultural and commercial highlight, while also supporting local people in promoting their products, especially OCOP products and specialties of each village. After the administrative reorganization, the market also became an opportunity for villages to interact, showcase their strengths, and strengthen connections.
Inviting additional communes such as Cuong Loi, Tran Phu, Van Lang, Xuan Duong, and Con Minh to participate contributes to enriching the product range and creating a more diverse and attractive shopping space.

Besides shopping, visitors can also immerse themselves in cultural performances, folk dances, and bamboo pole dancing, creating the atmosphere of a mini-festival. However, the element that keeps viewers engaged the longest is still the taste of local agricultural products.
The Côn Minh vermicelli stall is always crowded; dried bamboo shoots and forest honey are popular choices for Tet gifts; and the Yến Lạc traditional cake stall is bustling with both adults and children eager to sample the treats on the spot.
Mr. Nong Van Thuan, a resident of Yen Lac village, said: "The market partly recreates the atmosphere of the old town, while also contributing to promoting the local landscape and products."
Na Rì hopes that the night market will not remain a seasonal activity at the end of the year, but will gradually develop into a consumption channel for agricultural products linked to culture, tourism , and commerce. From a market with a modest scale, its potential has been unlocked. With changes in organizational methods, local agricultural products have the opportunity to increase their value, create their own unique identity, and spread more widely in the market.
