On July 18, Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital announced that the hospital had just received emergency treatment for a 7-year-old girl who was admitted with severe bleeding in her oral cavity.
According to the family, while playing with other children in the house, the child suddenly cried loudly. When adults ran in to check, they discovered that the child was bleeding profusely from the mouth. It is known that while playing, the child accidentally got a scissor cut on the tongue.

At the hospital, the patient was examined and found to have a wound on the tip of the right tongue, about 1x2cm in size, bleeding. Immediately, the doctors performed emergency treatment: stopping the bleeding, cleaning the wound and suturing the damage.
Currently, the patient's health is stable, but he still needs to be monitored and given a soft diet to avoid affecting the wound in the tongue area.
Doctors warn that young children are very active and are not yet aware of the danger of sharp objects such as scissors, knives, pencils, etc. Leaving these objects within reach of children can lead to unfortunate accidents, even life-threatening.
Especially during the summer vacation, when children have more time to play at home, parents need to be more vigilant, create a safe environment and always have someone supervise when children play. Being proactive in prevention is the best way to protect the health and safety of your children.
