Proactively develop plans to serve passengers during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).

To meet the anticipated surge in travel demand during the peak season at the beginning of the year, bus stations and transport companies in the province have proactively implemented plans to deploy vehicles, tighten traffic safety controls, and are ready to serve passengers throughout the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) and the Spring Festival season of 2026.

In the western part of the province, by early January 2026, bus stations and transportation companies had developed plans to serve passengers traveling during the peak Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday season. All necessary conditions, from vehicles to personnel, have been meticulously prepared to meet the increased travel demand. Bus stations have requested vehicle owners on key routes to have contingency plans for additional reserve vehicles.

Dak Lak Interprovincial Bus Station is proactively developing a plan to serve passengers during the peak Tet holiday and Spring festivals of 2026.

Krông Ana Bus Station currently operates 13 interprovincial routes with 35 sleeper buses, directly connecting to provinces and cities such as Hung Yen, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Nha Trang, Lam Dong, and Ho Chi Minh City. To prepare for this peak period, the station has required bus owners to sign commitments not to exceed the permitted passenger capacity and to maintain onboard equipment to ensure maximum passenger safety throughout the journey. Mr. Hoang Thanh, the station director, stated that safety is the top priority, and the station strictly controls its drivers and service staff. Accordingly, 100% of drivers undergo regular health checkups and sign employment contracts. In particular, for journeys longer than 300 km, each vehicle is required to have at least two drivers and one assistant driver. This regulation aims to ensure the drivers' health and maintain alertness for safe driving throughout the long journey.

In the eastern part of the province, bus stations have also prepared to serve passengers during the peak season. Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of Phu Yen Interprovincial Bus Station, shared that, anticipating a high demand for travel during the 2026 Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse), the station has assigned department heads, dispatch teams, and security personnel to be on duty throughout the period before, during, and after Tet. Specifically during the Lunar New Year holidays, the station will add personnel to the dispatch area to guide vehicles turning around and avoid congestion due to the large volume of vehicles arriving at the station. The station's facilities have been thoroughly cleaned and renovated according to the "green - clean - beautiful" criteria, combined with vibrant banners and slogans welcoming the spring to create a cheerful and exciting atmosphere for every passenger arriving at the station.

In addition, the bus station is strengthening inter-agency coordination to ensure smooth journeys for passengers. The unit has worked with transportation companies to plan for the timely deployment of backup vehicles, ready to alleviate congestion in unexpected situations. Simultaneously, it is coordinating with the local police and traffic police to tighten security and order, ensuring safety in and around the station throughout the holiday period.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Le Dinh Minh, to best serve the travel needs of the people in the province during the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse) and Spring Festival 2026, the Department has issued Plan No. 4757/KH-SXD requiring transportation units to proactively develop plans for arranging backup vehicles to promptly alleviate passenger congestion in cases of technical malfunctions or accidents during the journey. Units need to ensure sufficient drivers are assigned to transportation routes to maintain smooth operations. The main task during this period is to strengthen inspection, supervision, and strict handling of vehicles that do not meet traffic safety requirements. Any unauthorized increase in ticket prices or transportation fees without approval from the competent authority is strictly prohibited.

In addition, the traffic safety management departments of transport units must ensure strict inspection and supervision of drivers and vehicles through the vehicle tracking system…
