For the 2026-2027 academic year, the total enrollment quota for 10th grade in public high schools and continuing education centers in Da Nang is 39,905 students, with 43,567 candidates currently registered to take the entrance exam. With the allocated quota, it is expected that approximately 91% of registered students will have the opportunity to study at public high schools and continuing education centers.
Mr. Pham Tan Ngoc Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that this year's 10th grade entrance exam will be held at 110 examination centers (including junior and senior high schools), with 6 reserve centers; of which 7 centers are for candidates applying to specialized high schools. The Department has established 5 inspection teams to review the preparation work at the examination centers, especially those hosting the exam for the first time. For examination centers that have hosted the exam for many years, the Department will conduct surprise inspections to ensure that the requirements are met.

Mr. Thuy added that the education sector has instructed invigilators and supervisors to strengthen the inspection of items brought into the examination centers by candidates. At the same time, examination centers have arranged separate areas for storing students' personal belongings and have supervisors to ensure safety and seriousness. In addition, the education sector is paying special attention to supporting candidates, especially in mountainous areas and remote locations. Steering committees in communes and wards are required to closely monitor the situation and proactively support students during their journey to the examination centers. Some schools in mountainous areas have developed plans to transport students to facilitate their safe and timely participation in the exam.
After inspecting the facilities at the examination sites of Sao Nam Secondary School (Hai Chau Ward), Le Thi Hong Gam Secondary School (Thanh Khe Ward), and Luong The Vinh Secondary School (Hoa Khanh Ward) on May 19th, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan requested that the examination sites urgently review and complete all preparations to ensure the examination is conducted seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations. At each examination site, clearly assign a person in charge, and assign tasks to participating members at least one day before the exam; thoroughly check fire safety; and coordinate with the schools to carefully review the electrical system, power supply, and contingency plans to proactively respond to any unusual situations.
In addition, city leaders emphasized that the sealing of functional rooms and rooms for storing exam papers and answer sheets must be carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations; at the same time, all facilities must be inspected, records must be made, and keys and related procedures must be strictly managed.
