
In order to proactively deploy measures to prevent storm No. 6, from August 29, the Irrigation Works Exploitation LLCs in the city have operated sluices under the dikes and pumping stations to lower the buffer water level in canals and ditches into the river.
Accordingly, at 6 irrigation systems including: Da Do, Tien Lang, Vinh Bao, An Hai, Thuy Nguyen and Hai Duong , all sluices under the dikes are continuously operated by companies to take advantage of low tide levels to drain water into the river.
Along with that, some companies also opened the spillways of some reservoirs, operated pumping stations for flood control such as: Ba Nu, Thanh Thuy B, Ngoc Diem, Thanh Cuong, Do Phan, Cap Tu, Du Tai, Van Thai, Tien Kien, Thach Loi, Luong Xa, Boi Tuong, Cau Sop A, Thai Duong, Thuc Khang, Hoang Lau... to support the drainage of water in the canal system, lakes to the river.

By 11:00 a.m. on August 30, the water level in the canal system in the city had been lowered, of which the An Kim Hai system had an average water level of 0.85 m; Chanh Duong canal had 0.5-0.6 m, Trung Thuy Nong Tien Lang canal had 0.95 m, and Da Do river had 0.8 m...
In addition, the Irrigation Works Exploitation LLCs coordinate with localities to strengthen inspections of irrigation works, dykes, lakes, and dams to promptly detect incidents caused by storms and rains in order to proactively deploy prevention plans.
