Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested agencies, units and localities to closely monitor the storm's developments; strictly manage means of transport going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of means of transport, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm to proactively avoid, escape, not move into dangerous areas or return to safe shelters. At the same time, proactively deploy work to ensure safety of people, vehicles and assets, especially for tourist destinations , aquaculture, fishing and constructions at sea, on islands, coastal areas; be ready with forces and means to deploy rescue work, support people when requested.

Khanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station continues to monitor the developments of storms and heavy rains, promptly informing relevant agencies and local authorities to proactively direct and guide people to implement response measures.

Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio, Khanh Hoa Television, Nha Trang Coastal Information Station, local press and media agencies should strengthen measures to inform about natural disaster situations to authorities, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people to proactively prevent and respond.

According to the 11am bulletin of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, at 10am on August 30, the center of storm No. 6 was located in the Ha Tinh - Quang Tri sea area, about 120km east of the northern Quang Tri area. The strongest wind near the storm center was level 8 (62-74km/h), gusting to level 10-11, moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 20-25km/h and entering the mainland of the provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri and gradually weakening into a tropical depression. At 10pm on August 30, the tropical depression was located in the Vietnam-Laos border area.

Due to the influence of storm No. 6, the sea area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue (including Hon Ngu island and Con Co special zone) has stormy rain, strong winds of level 6-7, near the eye of the storm is strong at level 8, gusts of level 10; waves are 2-4m high, near the eye of the storm is 3-5m high, rough seas. The sea area north of Bac Bo Gulf has strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 9; waves are 2.0-4.0m high, rough seas.

From noon on August 30 to the end of August 31, the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 100-250mm, locally over 400mm; the midland and northern delta areas will have moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-120mm, locally over 250mm.

According to the 1:00 p.m. news on August 30, through monitoring on weather radar images, convective clouds are developing in the areas of the following communes/wards: Dai Lanh, Tu Bong, Van Thang, Nha Trang, Tay Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang, Cam Lam, Suoi Dau, Suoi Hiep, Dien Lam, Dien Tho, Khanh Vinh, Nam Khanh Vinh.

From now until 6 a.m., convective clouds will continue to develop, causing showers and thunderstorms in the above areas; then it is likely to spread to the following communes/wards: Van Ninh, Bac Nha Trang, Dien Khanh, Dien Tho, Bac Khanh Vinh, Trung Khanh Vinh, Tay Khanh Vinh, Bac Ai Tay, Khanh Son, Tay Khanh Son, Nam Ninh Hoa, Dien Dien... During thunderstorms, beware of lightning, tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind; water flowing rapidly over spillways and spillways.
