When interacting with her, I felt her modesty and patience - typical qualities of Vietnamese women. "A small thing if done with heart is still precious", that is the way of life and attitude towards work that Ms. Tam has chosen and followed.

  Captain Vu Thi Tam, measurement warehouse keeper of the Logistics - Technical Department, Regiment 280, Division 361, Air Defense - Air Force.

At work, she is an exemplary and professional warehouse keeper. The measurement warehouse she manages includes valuable imported equipment for training and combat readiness such as oscilloscopes, pulse machines, multimeters, etc. with strict storage requirements. She proactively studies technical regulations, learns from colleagues, and draws on practical experience to optimize her work.

She arranges goods according to the “5 easy” principle: easy to see, easy to take, easy to check, easy to preserve, easy to clean. All items are tagged and have full information updated. The electrical system, power consuming equipment, and fire prevention and fighting equipment are periodically inspected and neatly arranged to be ready to handle any situation.

She also builds and updates management books according to regulations; closely monitors the import-export process, ensuring absolute accuracy, avoiding omissions or loss of materials. In particular, she plans her work scientifically , always having "reserve" time to be ready for unexpected tasks.

Thanks to her proactiveness and practical working solutions, over the past 5 years, she has always completed her tasks excellently: Managing, exporting and importing materials accurately, ensuring absolute safety, and supporting the unit promptly in all situations. In 2023 and 2024, she achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighter, a party member who completed her tasks excellently.

Not only is she good at her profession, Captain Vu Thi Tam is also an active member of the Women's Union. She and the Union have implemented many meaningful movements: Contributing revolving capital to help members develop the economy , planting and caring for flowers in the unit, cleaning the environment, participating in arts and sports, giving gifts to encourage frontline forces against the epidemic... She has been continuously recognized as an excellent Women's Union officer at the Regiment and Division levels for the period 2022 - 2024. In 2023, she won second prize in the Competition for Excellent Women's Union Officers at the Regiment level; was a key factor in the "Ho Chi Minh Department" team that won first prize at the Corps level; and won second prize at the Competition for Young Propaganda Officers at the Division level.

In 2024, she was awarded a certificate of merit by the People's Committee of Long Bien District (Hanoi) as a typical face in 10 years of implementing Directive 34-CT/TW on innovation in emulation and reward work and the movement "Good people, good deeds". In 2025, she was awarded by the Regiment for her excellent performance in women's work in the period 2020 - 2025.  

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Khanh, Commander of Regiment 280, commented: "Ms. Tam is a hard-working person, has good expertise, is proactive and creative in her work." Lieutenant Colonel Thai Doan Nam, Political Commissar of the Regiment, assessed her as "a fragrant flower in the unit's competitive garden".

In real life, she is the one who "keeps the fire" in the family, always encourages her husband and children to obey the law, build solidarity, actively participate in movements in her residential area, and help people in difficult circumstances.

Captain Vu Thi Tam's dedication does not come from big things, but from small, persistent actions, originating from a pure heart. She is truly a shining example of responsibility, ethics and humanity in the military.
