TPO - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien requested units to use money donated by people to overcome storms and floods for the right purposes and effectively, without waste or negativity.
On the afternoon of September 23, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held an online meeting with 26 provinces and cities on supporting people affected by storm No. 3.

Mr. Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that after 14 days of calling on the whole population to participate in supporting compatriots affected by storm No. 3, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has received over VND1,656 billion in donations and has allocated VND1,035 billion to localities. "These are donations filled with the sentiments of compatriots, comrades across the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends. We must be responsible for using them for the right purposes, effectively, without waste and without negativity," Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized. With this spirit, Mr. Chien requested that the process of allocating support money from the Central to the province, from the province to the district, from the district to the commune must be carried out publicly and transparently. "When the commune allocates to people and households, a public list must be made on mass media or at the commune People's Committee headquarters," Mr. Chien said.

"The support must be public and transparent, directly to the beneficiaries; no duplicate support," said Mr. Chien. Along with that, Mr. Chien requested that units closely follow the content of Decree No. 93/2021/ND-CP on the allocation of support resources, focusing on priorities, such as: Supporting families with deceased or missing people; Supporting food, food, drinking water; Supporting housing for households whose houses have collapsed, completely damaged, severely damaged, and households that need to repair their houses... After receiving the allocated resources, the Local Relief Mobilization Committee will report to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee every 10 days until the end of the use of allocated resources (December 30, 2024).
