I aim to be different.
I set a goal for myself: to be different. I chose to be different by doing scientific research. While my friends were still unfamiliar with the university environment, I diligently went to the library to research the topic of Bankruptcy Law. I participated in the Economic Solution Competition in 1991 organized by the City Youth Union and only won the Youngest Contestant award. After that, I continued to pursue scientific research and won the Eureka Prize for 2 topics at the same time; a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for scientific research... After graduating, I went to work at a state-owned enterprise. My goal was to become a professional worker, exceeding the expectations of the leaders. I started from the lowest position as a sales staff. Through the following positions as a finance staff, assistant to the general director, deputy head of the gas sales department, and secretary of the Youth Union, I was always evaluated as having done my job well. At the same time, I also registered to study for a master's degree, a doctoral degree... Looking back, I realized that it was because I set the goal of becoming a professional that helped me strive to improve myself. Thanks to that, I had the opportunity to advance, have a wider influence and do many useful things. Leaving the state-owned enterprise, I went to work for a private gas company. I became a shareholder with 20% of shares and held the position of business executive. The company's shareholder was a reputable investment fund. I set the goal of working hard, so that later I could sell 20% of my shares and earn a large amount of money. I wanted to get rich through my own labor and ability. Together with my colleagues and shareholders, we developed the company and then sold it to a foreign corporation. I sold my shares and earned more than 1 million USD. That year, I was 35 years old. I went to work for the number 1 jewelry company in Vietnam, in charge of investment, marketing and human resources. My goal during this period was to learn and experience the role of a large enterprise leader. I was fortunate to have good bosses who loved and guided me; excellent colleagues who always supported me. Thanks to that, I have grown up and learned many things.Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quynh: I chose the book publishing industry because I want to contribute to bringing valuable knowledge to everyone.
How to pursue goals?

1. Identify the why behind the goal:
When setting goals, it is important to understand why you want to achieve them. The reason is not only the motivation that drives you every day, but also a life buoy in the vast sea of doubt and disorientation. A person decides to run a marathon not because he wants to lose weight, but because he wants to challenge himself, overcome his limits and find a sense of accomplishment after crossing the finish line. Or a student chooses to study medicine not only because it is a financially "secure" career, but because he has had a childhood dream of helping others and saving lives.2. Break down your goals:
Big goals often make us feel heavy and difficult to start. Breaking down the goal into small, manageable steps makes it easier to approach and implement. To write a book, instead of thinking about completing 300 pages right away, start by writing 500 words a day. Gradually, the pages will be completed without too much pressure. Or a person who wants to save 100 million VND in a year can break down the goal into saving 8.3 million VND per month, or even 275,000 VND per day. By clearly defining the "why" and breaking down the goal, we can overcome all challenges, improve ourselves to become a valuable person and create a full, happy life. Tuoitre.vn
