Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee sent a letter of commendation to Phu Xuyen district for the work of clearing the land for the southern axis road.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee praised the high political determination of the Party Committee, government and political system of Phu Xuyen district in proactively removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the progress of important technical infrastructure projects, which are of great significance to the socio-economic development of the southern region of the capital.

“This result demonstrates the determination of the Party Committee, government and Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu Xuyen district to proactively and actively resolve difficulties and obstacles, contributing to promoting the excellent completion of political tasks of the district and city,” the Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also expressed his trust and expectation that other localities in the city, along with departments and branches, will continue to promote a sense of responsibility, resolutely implement important and urgent political tasks; proactively and boldly remove difficulties right from the grassroots level, without waiting or relying on superiors.

The Southern Economic Development Axis Road Project of Hanoi City (formerly the Southern Axis Road Project of the old Ha Tay Province) has a total length of more than 41km, passing through Ha Dong District and the districts of Thanh Oai, Ung Hoa, and Phu Xuyen. Started more than 16 years ago, this route plays a strategic role, helping to reduce the load on National Highway 21B, connecting trade, and promoting socio-economic development in the southern gateway area of ​​the capital.

In Phu Xuyen district, most of the site clearance work has been completed since previous years, including in communes with complicated situations, such as Hong Minh and Chau Can.

With the close direction of the city and district, on May 15, 2025, the entire remaining area was completed and the site was handed over to the investor. This result was achieved thanks to the persistence in sticking to the grassroots, effectively mobilizing and persuading the entire political system from district to commune, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility in implementing the key political tasks of the locality.
