Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province receives citizen Chau Thanh Dang.

On the morning of June 11th, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, presided over the regular monthly citizen reception for May 2025. Leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, and relevant departments, agencies, and localities also attended.

Citizen Chau Thanh Dang (residing in Phu Xuan commune, Phu Tan district) is disputing the return of land belonging to Phu Xuan Primary School (sub-site A2), requesting compensation for damages resulting from the construction of two classrooms over the past 27 years. According to the verification results of the local authorities, the information provided by the disputing parties lacks a basis for determining the legal origin of land use; the disputed land, currently occupied by two classrooms, is public property.

After listening to citizens' opinions and discussions with leaders of departments and localities, the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review all regulations and, together with the Provincial Inspectorate, advise the Provincial People's Committee on whether Mr. Dang's complaint meets the conditions for acceptance, and then proceed according to the procedures stipulated by law regarding the resolution of land-related complaints. Both the organization and the individual involved in the case can choose to file a lawsuit in court to request consideration and protection of their legitimate rights and interests.
