Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan works with state-owned enterprises on growth targets for 2025

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of April 18, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to review and assign growth targets and plans for 2025 to state-owned enterprises in the province. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Departments of Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Health; representatives of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and enterprises with state capital.

According to the report of the Department of Finance, the total expected revenue in 2025 of the units is nearly 3,857 billion VND, an increase of about 9% compared to 2024. Pre-tax profit is estimated at 448.14 billion VND, an increase of 6.6%, and the amount payable to the state budget is expected to reach 409,396 billion VND, an increase of 4%.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that in the context of the Government requiring the entire political system to unanimously implement the national GDP growth target and the province's GRDP. He emphasized that to meet the general economic growth requirements, enterprises need to achieve a minimum growth rate of 8.5% in 2025, and from 2026 onwards, the target is double-digit growth.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant agencies to review and assign specific targets to each enterprise, focusing on areas such as revenue, costs, profits, and labor productivity, along with promoting streamlined organization, application of science and technology, and digital transformation. "It is not necessary to set profit targets too high during the development process of enterprises," the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted.

In particular, businesses need to demonstrate how they use financial resources to create new growth opportunities, such as investing in technology, expanding markets or improving production processes. The review and adjustment of unit price norms are also required to be completed before the April 30, 2025 holiday.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee encouraged businesses to expand their space to develop new industries and services, and fully exploit the potential of current customers. Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested a number of specific solutions for groups of industries.

Regarding forestry, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan proposed applying advanced technology in forest exploitation, developing high-quality plant varieties, and collecting by-products to build a circular economic model.

With the Irrigation Works Exploitation Company, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the development of services outside of traditional public activities, such as aquaculture in reservoirs, water supply for industry and daily life.

The Environment, Trees & Lighting, and Water Supply Companies need to exploit new investment projects, especially in new urban areas.

As for Binh Dinh Minerals Joint Stock Company, next week, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to hold a meeting to resolve difficulties related to the right to receive raw titanium and exploit for deep processing.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the importance of digital transformation in saving costs, improving operational efficiency and optimizing work processes. Therefore, businesses need to focus on streamlining the apparatus, reforming administrative procedures, and building a reporting system suitable for modern requirements. In addition, the arrangement of staff must be based on the principle of "work comes first". The head of the Provincial Government requested that staff be evaluated based on criteria of capacity, qualifications, ethics and dedication, and resolutely replace individuals who do not meet the requirements of the task.
