At the inspection, comrade Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the items in the completion stage of the project, such as: 1,024-seat large hall, functional meeting rooms, main hall, outdoor landscape area; listened to representatives of Lao Cai Province's Project Management Board No. 1 (investor) and contractors report in detail on the progress of implementation.
The Provincial Convention Center Project is a level II project, with a total investment of 440 billion VND from the provincial budget and other legal capital sources. The project will be implemented in the period of 2023 - 2026 with the goal of meeting the needs of organizing major events and conferences of the province and the region.
According to the report, up to now, the project is in the final stage of construction and has achieved very positive progress: Package No. 10 (construction of the main house and auxiliary items) implemented by the joint venture LANMAK - SON TAY - TRU MOI VN has reached 94.17% of the contract value. The main house item has completed 100% of the structure and is urgently completing the architecture and exterior landscape. Package No. 11 (purchase and installation of equipment) implemented by the joint venture VIETLIGHT has reached 95% of the contract value. Package No. 12 (interior decoration) implemented by Landco Joint Stock Company has reached 90% of the contract value.
The contractors are committed to completing all construction items before September 15, 2025.
Speaking at the inspection, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the efforts of the investor and construction units in overcoming difficulties and speeding up the project's progress in the past time.
To ensure the project is completed on time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested contractors to continue to focus on maximum human and material resources, organize overtime, add more shifts, and work continuously to further speed up the completion of the remaining items.
He especially emphasized that despite racing against time, we must absolutely not be negligent or subjective; labor safety and fire prevention and fighting must be given top priority.
Units must regularly review and tighten safety procedures at the construction site; thoroughly inspect the entire automatic fire prevention and fire fighting system, smoke extraction system, and ensure safe and effective test operation before handover.
In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested leaders of units and contractors to pay special attention to the lives, health, salary and bonus regimes and promptly motivate the staff and workers who are working day and night, ensuring the regeneration of labor force to excellently complete the task. He believes that with high determination, the project will be completed on schedule, ensuring quality, technique, and aesthetics, soon becoming a modern architectural highlight worthy of Lao Cai province.
