Carefully prepare for the first meeting of the People's Council of Quang Tri province after the merger

This afternoon, June 30, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term held its first meeting to prepare for the first session of the 8th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term. Comrades: Nguyen Dang Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Chien Thang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Tran Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Vinh The, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

Comrade Nguyen Dang Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province gave a speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and agreed on the meeting agenda; carefully reviewed the contents under their authority according to the provisions of the Law on Organization of Local Government and related guiding documents.

The meeting also focused on discussing the assignment of tasks, personnel preparation, reviewing the system of effective resolutions and considering proposing necessary adjustments to suit the reality of the newly established province.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council clearly identified the application of policies to ensure better operating conditions for the Provincial People's Council in the coming period as a key task.

Comrade Nguyen Dang Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province, highly appreciated the careful and proactive preparation of the advisory agencies and requested to continue to prepare carefully so that the first meeting on July 1, 2025 will take place effectively and in accordance with regulations.

The session will focus on implementing important administrative procedures, passing many resolutions related to the organization and apparatus, creating a foundation for stable and effective operation of the Provincial People's Council in the new term.
