Today, February 10th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a program to welcome and extend New Year greetings to the first tourists arriving in Binh Thuan on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon) at Phan Thiet Train Station, and also extended New Year greetings to tourists and businesses at tourism accommodation establishments.

On this occasion, representatives from the provincial and Phan Thiet city leadership, along with the local tourism industry, gave lucky money (specifically, fish sauce) to all visitors who were the first to arrive in Binh Thuan.

Visiting the units on the first day of the Year of the Dragon 2024, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh extended his best New Year wishes to the Saigon Railway Transport Branch (at Phan Thiet Station) and K-Town Resort Phan Thiet (located in Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city). He also informed them of some positive results achieved by the local tourism industry in hosting the 2023 National Tourism Year - Binh Thuan - Green Convergence. He expressed his hope that the units would continue to strive for effective business operations, contributing to the local government's goal of welcoming 9.5 million tourists in 2024. In addition, the Provincial People's Committee leaders presented flowers and New Year gifts to the Saigon Railway Transport Branch (Phan Thiet Station) and K-Town Resort Phan Thiet, as well as giving lucky money to the leaders, managers, and staff of the units.

At K-Town Resort Phan Thiet, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh, along with leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, also presented flowers to the business on the occasion of the New Year.

It is known that on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon), the first train to Binh Thuan (numbered SPT2 Saigon - Phan Thiet) carried 210 passengers, including about 60 international tourists. On this occasion, representatives of the provincial and Phan Thiet city leadership and the local tourism industry gave lucky red envelopes to all tourists who were the first to arrive in Binh Thuan or were vacationing in the area, according to the traditional Vietnamese Tet custom, along with wishes for health, happiness, peace, and prosperity.

The program was organized to create a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere on New Year's Day and to express the gratitude of local leaders and the provincial tourism industry to tourists. It also contributed to promoting the image and brand of Binh Thuan as a safe, friendly, and welcoming destination, creating a positive impression on domestic and international tourists.
