Over 600 athletes participate in the Dance, Folk Dance, and Modern Dance Festival

The Organizing Committee awarded souvenir flags to the teams participating in the Festival.

The festival attracted over 600 officials, coaches, and athletes from 39 clubs and dance groups in Dien Bien province and 3 clubs from Son La, Vinh Phuc , and Hanoi. The clubs and dance groups competed in 3 categories: ballroom dance , folk dance , and modern dance .

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: In line with the development trend of the sports movement across the country, in recent years, especially from the love of sports, many inspirational cores have appeared, spreading the movement of practicing dance , folk dance , modern dance in the province ; forming many teams, groups, and clubs that operate regularly and effectively, with initial exchange activities inside and outside the province.

The opening ceremony of the Festival also featured performances by national dancesport champions Tuan Dat and Phuong Trinh.

Based on practical needs, in 2023, Dien Bien organized a festival at the provincial level for the first time and left many good impressions. From that success, this year's Festival is larger in scale and more open in nature . That shows that the festival is increasingly attractive, not only as an opportunity to meet and exchange, learn experiences, and strengthen solidarity, but also to show talent, display movement techniques, creativity in costume design, ideas for creating performances and combining music selection to create perfect performances. The Organizing Committee of this year's Festival invited experts who are national dancesport masters and referees to participate in scoring the competition contents...

The 2024 Dien Bien Province Open Dance, Folk Dance, and Modern Dance Festival will take place over two days (August 24-25 ) at the Provincial Cultural Convention Center. The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the Festival is expected to take place at 5:00 p.m. on August 25.
