Many streets in Ho Chi Minh City are lined with national and Party flags, along with slogans and propaganda posters welcoming the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030. This is the first congress of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger.

Meaningful gratitude activities

In the atmosphere of welcoming the congress, on the morning of October 12, the delegation attending the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, led by Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, offered incense at the Hung Kings Memorial Temple; and offered incense at the Temple of Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh - the one who opened the Southern region, established sovereignty for the Southern region in 1698, and at the same time established a basic administrative system for the new land.

This activity reminds delegates of their responsibility to continue the tradition of building and defending the country of previous generations. This is an important spiritual foundation for delegates to orient development programs in the new term, aiming to build Ho Chi Minh City into a dynamic, modern, civilized and internationally integrated megacity.

Previously, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang and delegates visited and experienced metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien). Metro line No. 1 is 19.7 km long, including 11 elevated stations and 3 underground stations, put into commercial operation from December 22, 2024; connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with the eastern gateway area, shortening travel time, reducing congestion, and promoting the city's socio -economic development.

Not stopping at metro line 1, Ho Chi Minh City is preparing to start construction of metro line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) at the end of 2025. The project is more than 11 km long with a total investment of nearly 47,900 billion VND, expected to apply modern, energy-saving and environmentally friendly technology. This is an important step in the public transport development strategy, towards the goal of building a smart, modern city.

This tour helps delegates directly observe operations, evaluate the effectiveness of investment in the city's transport infrastructure and its positive impact on people's lives.

Discover the technology "unicorn"

Delegates attending the congress - divided into 12 groups - also visited economic, social, defense and security projects and models in Ho Chi Minh City.

VNG currently has more than 4,000 employees, 14 offices worldwide, with an expected revenue of more than 10,000 billion VND in 2025.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc assessed that VNG has an open working space, creating a comfortable and inspiring feeling for employees to fully develop their capacity, strengths and creativity. He believes that delegates will learn and receive many valuable experiences and information from this technology "unicorn", which can then be applied immediately in their localities and units in the coming time, especially after the congress.

Afterwards, delegates from groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 continued to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History. The visit helped delegates gain a deeper understanding of the city’s cultural, historical and developmental roots.
