With the message: "From the Vietnam - Cuba sentiment to the heart for compatriots in times of trouble - Every sharing today is the strength to cultivate peace , humanity and solidarity in the future", the two campaigns have profound political, humanitarian and social significance, demonstrating the tradition of "deep affection and deep love", the spirit of mutual love, international solidarity and great national solidarity.

The campaign to support the Cuban people was held for 65 days (from August 13 to October 16), corresponding to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba. As of 10:00 a.m. on October 8, the total amount of money received through account 2022 (Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank) reached more than 467 billion VND with more than 2 million donations and 55.9 billion VND transferred through the Red Cross system of provinces and cities.

It can be affirmed that the program is a humanitarian initiative of foreign affairs scope, demonstrating the solidarity, loyalty and steadfastness of the Vietnamese people with the Cuban people - a country facing many difficulties due to economic crisis, natural disasters and prolonged embargo. Through nationwide mobilization activities, the Program conveys the message "Vietnam - Cuba, forever side by side in challenges" and affirms "When Cuba faces difficulties, Vietnam cannot sit still". The Program has profound political , diplomatic, social and humanitarian significance.

On September 1, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, under the witness of General Secretary To Lam and President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, presented nearly 385 billion VND (phase 1) to the people of Cuba.

In addition, the Program to support people affected by natural disasters and floods was launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on October 2. After a week of launching, the call and mobilization to support people affected by storms and floods has created a strong ripple effect, attracting positive responses from all levels, sectors, localities, organizations and individuals at home and abroad.

As of 5:00 p.m. on October 8, the total amount of registered donations reached nearly 800 billion VND. Information about the campaign is posted, updated transparently, and publicly reported daily on the media and the Fanpage of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations affirmed that the greatest success of the two programs is not only the impressive numbers but also deeply reflects the humanistic values, the spirit of mutual love of our nation towards our compatriots; the solidarity, loyalty and steadfastness of the Vietnamese people with the Cuban people; contributing to expressing and spreading the spirit of sharing, the image of a humane and responsible Vietnam in the international community...

At the same time, it is recommended that in the coming time, press agencies step up propaganda, affirm two major programs with profound political, humanitarian and social significance, demonstrating the tradition of "deep affection", the spirit of mutual love, international solidarity and the great national solidarity bloc; publicly, transparently and promptly inform about the support results, sources of receiving and distributing relief; commend collectives, individuals, creative models, effective methods; reflect the trust and social consensus on the humanitarian policies of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front...
