Strengthening support for post-addiction people to stabilize their lives

Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 (Hai Phong City Police) is managing and caring for more than 800 students.

On the morning of October 10, comrade Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Council chaired a survey of the activities and management of students at Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 (City Police).

After directly surveying the situation and listening to the leaders of Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 report on the operation and management of students, Chairman of the City People's Council Le Van Hieu acknowledged the efforts of the staff, civil servants and employees of the facility in managing and caring for students.

Regarding the management of drug addicts after rehabilitation, comrade Le Van Hieu suggested that there should be synchronous participation of all levels, sectors and the whole society to help drug addicts ensure health recovery and stable life. Appreciating the facility that has opened many vocational training classes for students in many fields such as pottery, electricity, mechanics, and garment, he suggested that the facility pay attention to researching and developing programs and projects to attract resources in the field of vocational training for students.

Received from the Hai Phong Youth Union since March 1, 2025, Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 is managing and caring for more than 800 students, including more than 700 students in compulsory rehabilitation and more than 100 students in voluntary rehabilitation. The facility currently has 111 officers, civil servants, and employees, including 50 people in the police force. Currently, the facility has opened 5 vocational training classes for students.
