Series of activities to welcome delegates of ethnic minorities in Binh Duong province

The event is an opportunity for ethnic minorities to meet, exchange culture - arts, physical education - sports , strengthen solidarity, connect ethnic minorities living, studying and working in Binh Duong province, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups. At the same time, it affirms the attention of the Party and State to ethnic minority areas and recognizes the great contributions of ethnic minorities in poverty reduction, new rural construction, infrastructure development, and implementation of ethnic policies.

The Festival was attended by 9 delegations from districts and cities in the province with nearly 400 athletes and actors from ethnic minorities competing in the following categories: camping beauty contest, performing arts contest; fashion show contest (daily work clothes and traditional costumes of ethnic groups); sports contests (football, tug of war, stilt walking and men and women's stick pushing).

The contents, competitions and performances selected by the Organizing Committee have folk colors, close to the daily life of ethnic minorities in Binh Duong.

After a day of exciting competitions, the Organizing Committee awarded 25 prizes in the categories of arts, sports, fashion and beauty camp. The first prize for the whole group went to Phu Giao district, the second prize went to Dau Tieng district, the third prize went to Bau Bang district and 6 consolation prizes went to the following units: Tan Uyen city, Di An city, Ben Cat city, Thuan An city, Thu Dau Mot city and Bac Tan Uyen district.

According to the report, Binh Duong province currently has 28 ethnic groups living together. In recent years, the province has issued many resolutions, programs, plans and concretized them into mechanisms and policies to stabilize production, reduce poverty sustainably, and gradually improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities. The appearance of rural areas of ethnic minorities in the province is constantly improving.

Along with efforts in developing family economy and raising children, ethnic minorities in Binh Duong also actively participate in union activities, build the local political system, always uphold the spirit of solidarity and mutual love among ethnic groups, contributing to consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc in the province.

According to Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, Party committees, authorities at all levels, and organizations across the province have done a good job in ethnic work. Along with the efforts of the ethnic minority community, departments, branches, and localities must pay attention to and implement well ethnic work and ethnic policies, practically care for and improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic people in the province.

With the achieved results, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha believes that the ethnic minorities of Binh Duong province, especially the excellent delegates representing 28 ethnic groups attending the Congress, will spread the spirit of great solidarity among ethnic groups to new heights.

At the same time, inspire and connect ethnic minorities with the entire political system and people of the province to join hands and act together to realize the aspiration of soon turning Binh Duong into a smart, civilized, modern and humane city.
