Special art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Decision 2937/QD-BVHTTDL on organizing the "Special art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)" with the theme: "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".

At the request of the Director of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater in Official Dispatch No. 132/NVKVN dated August 14, 2025 on the request for approval of the script for the Special Art Program to Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and at the request of the Director of the Department of Performing Arts, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued the above Decision. Implementation time is 8:00 p.m. on September 1, 2025. Implementation location is at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigns the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet to coordinate with relevant units to stage new works, practice and perform approved artistic products. During the implementation process, relevant units and individuals are responsible for editing and perfecting according to the comments of the Artistic Product Quality Acceptance Council.

According to the program's script: The host agency is the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the implementing unit is the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater and the coordinating units are the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music; Vietnam Dance Academy, Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, Intermediate School of Circus and Variety Arts, Hanoi College of Art.

Special art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, including 3 chapters:

Chapter I "The Road to Independence and Unification": This chapter includes Clip ART 1 "The Dark Night of History"; the art performance "The Long Night of Slavery"; the animation "The Image of Nguyen Ai Quoc Seeing the Suffering of the Nation"; the art performance "Footprints Ahead" and "The Internationale"; the performance "Together as Red Soldiers - National Guard"; the animation "The Sacrifice and Ideals of the Party's Revolutionaries".

Clip ART 2 “Golden opportunity of the Vietnamese Revolution”; art performance “Vietnamese Soldiers”; “Scene of the successful August Revolution - August 19”; dance “Declaration of Independence”; scene: “President Ho Chi Minh's words” and “Liberating the South”...

Chapter II “Aspiration for the Fatherland”: Has Clip Art 3 “Unifying the country”; art performance “I walk in the golden sea - Singing about rice plants today”; performance “Aspiration for youth”; “Welcome to Vietnam”.

Chapter III “My Fatherland, Never So Beautiful”: There are art performances “Strength of Unity”; “Glory is Waiting for Us”; Reportage “Summary of the achievements we have made over the past 80 years and a quick interview about the people’s pride in those achievements”. Next is the art performance “Marching Song”; “Love the Smile of Vietnam”.

The art performance “Love Vietnam’s Smile” was performed by People’s Artist Thanh Lam, Tung Duong…, along with the Symphony Orchestra, Choir with the participation of generations, dance groups and mass forces. This is also the final performance of the Special Art Program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)” with the theme: “80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”.
