Welcoming the 18th Hanoi Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the political and artistic program "Hanoi Belief" on the evening of October 8 revived the glorious and proud historical journey of the Capital and the country, starting from the historic August Revolution, opening the era of independence and freedom to the era of national development today.

"Hanoi Belief" recreates the glorious milestones of the nation through classical music and modern theatrical language.

The program features famous artists such as: People's Artist Mai Hoa, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, singers Dao To Loan, Pham Tuan, Dang Ngoc Anh... and the Hanoi Radio Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to the two opening songs of the program, "Hanoi, Hope of Faith" and "Destroy Fascism," the program also brought to the audience a series of songs that are familiar to many audiences, which are also classic works of both vocal and instrumental music praising the Capital and the country throughout history such as: "The return of the happy day," "Each step makes me love the Fatherland more," "My love for the sea," "Our Fatherland has never been so beautiful," "Hanoi in Autumn," "Hoan Kiem," "Blue sky of Hanoi," "The heroic song of Hanoi," "The vast new road" ...

In particular, the program brings to the audience for the first time the Choral Suite "Our Fatherland."

In the fall of 1960, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the nation, the Voice of Vietnam staged a massive Choral Suite consisting of 3 chapters: Chapter I - "Praise the Fatherland" written by musician Ho Bac; Chapter II - "Reminiscence" performed by musician Hoang Van and Chapter III - "The heroic and indomitable South" composed by musician Pham Tuyen. However, the largest choral suite in the history of Vietnamese music has never been performed simultaneously on stage but has only been recorded and performed as independent works.

With the program “Hanoi Belief,” at the foot of the historic Hanoi Flag Tower, for the first time after 65 years of its inception, the choral suite “Our Fatherland” was performed in full and complete.

The program also includes reports: "The historic decision of the Hanoi Party Committee" about the uprising on August 19, 1945, the uprising to seize power in Hanoi that contributed decisively to the resounding victory of the August Revolution in 1945 nationwide; Report "Hanoi rises in the new era" expressing the will, aspiration and spirit of solidarity of the nation.

"Hanoi Belief" is not only an art program, but also a political commentary in music, depicting the wise and steadfast leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the guide who has led the nation from one victory to another; arousing the strength of national unity, fostering belief, ideals and aspirations for prosperous development and happiness.

Sharing with reporters from VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, singer Dao To Loan said that every time she sings songs about the Fatherland, she feels a surge of national pride and a desire to contribute to the country.

Performing the song “Epic of the Country,” Dao To Loan felt the author’s passion in writing each verse, poem and rhythm, imbued with love for the homeland and national pride. That inspired her to be able to fully convey the emotions and spirit of the song to the audience.

For Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, the song “Reminiscence” is a tribute to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for today. For the male singer, this is not just a song, but a picture telling a historical story through music. Through each melody, listeners can imagine the long journey of the nation - from the arduous war to the days of peace, construction and development.

“I hope that the capital's audience will feel the pride, gratitude and spirit of 'living worthily' that this song wants to convey,” artist Vu Thang Loi shared./.
