Transferred 5-6 companies, now how to withdraw social insurance at once?

In the past, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc worked for 5-6 companies and the working time at each company was not much, so she did not care about closing her social insurance book when she quit her job.

Ms. Cuc remembers that the HR department closed her social insurance book 3 times when she quit her job, but she doesn't know where the book is lost. She doesn't know if the remaining companies have closed their social insurance books or not.

Ms. Cuc asked: "I have been out of work for a year now. Now I want to withdraw my social insurance money at once, what should I do? What documents are required? I don't have any books anymore, can I withdraw my social insurance money at once?"

According to Vietnam Social Security, the conditions for receiving one-time social insurance benefits are currently applied according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 8 of Decree No. 115/2015/ND-CP and Article 1 of Circular No. 18/2022/TT-BYT amending Article 4 of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health .

Based on the above regulations, employees in one of the above cases who have a request are entitled to receive a one-time social insurance payment. Ms. Cuc has been out of work for a full year, if she has not paid social insurance for 20 years and does not continue to pay social insurance, she is eligible under the second case.

According to Vietnam Social Security, the application for one-time social insurance benefits includes a social insurance book and a request form. For employees in other cases, the application must include additional documents proving that they are going abroad to settle down, are sick, etc.

The basic component of the file is the social insurance book, so Vietnam Social Security recommends that Ms. Cuc contact the old companies to request the company to complete the procedures to close the social insurance book, confirm the social insurance payment process and return the social insurance book.

When she has all the social insurance books, Ms. Cuc can go to the local social insurance agency to get instructions on how to complete the procedures to receive one-time social insurance benefits.
