Dang Thuy Tram is a mountainous commune of Quang Ngai with 99% of the population being ethnic minorities. Although facing many difficulties, with the determination to make efforts in digital transformation for sustainable development, the Party Committee and government from commune to village have resolutely directed the implementation of digital transformation activities for the people.
Pham Thi Trang, an officer of the Party Committee Office of Dang Thuy Tram Commune, shared that now, officers only need to post information on Facebook and Zalo pages, or through the radio system, and the information will be transmitted to the people quickly and promptly.
Dang Thuy Tram commune currently has 8 villages with 4,500 people, 99% of whom are ethnic minorities. Recently, the locality has stepped up propaganda about the benefits of digital transformation to the people; the commune youth union supports people in installing and instructing them on how to use useful applications on smartphones...
Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, Dang Thuy Tram commune, said that people proactively get acquainted with utility services, install digital transformation software, and raise awareness of network security.
“We, the highland people, have benefited a lot from digital transformation and following local announcements. Now, just by having a smartphone, we can learn a lot of information about building a happy family, raising children, and economic development models.”
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dang Thuy Tram Commune, Nguyen Thi Van, the gap in awareness and digital skills among the people is still a major barrier in the process of realizing the goal of comprehensive digital transformation. Therefore, we need to join hands - from the government, businesses, social organizations to each citizen - to spread the "Digital Literacy for All" movement to every hamlet, every household, every agency and unit.
The movement “Digital Education for All” in Dang Thuy Tram commune is based on the spirit of taking people as the center, the subject and leaving no one behind. With the goal that every citizen, from young people to the elderly, can access, participate in learning, and improve their understanding of digital transformation and digital skills.
People know how to buy, sell, and pay safely online, bring their products to the whole country and the world ; can protect themselves from bad information and scams on the internet, and build a safe and civilized digital environment.
Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Dang Thuy Tram Commune, Nguyen Thi Van, emphasized that Party committees, authorities, and organizations at all levels must consider this a key political task, take the lead, and set an example in concretizing the set goals and tasks, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness.
Each party member, civil servant, public employee and worker must be a pioneer and exemplary in implementing the movement, creating a strong change in awareness and action; transforming the process of learning, training and applying digital knowledge and skills.
Telecommunications and digital technology businesses should join hands and contribute to building simple, easy-to-use, and highly effective platforms and applications. Focus on developing and improving the quality of telecommunications services and infrastructure to better serve the needs of connection and application of digital platforms and digital services in communes and villages.
“ Youth and students – young people, please promote the spirit of shock, pioneering, leading the strong implementation of campaigns to popularize digital skills. Each member and young person should be a “soldier” on the “Digital Literacy” front, going to each house, guiding each person, following the motto “those who know teach those who don’t know”, “those who know a lot teach those who know little”.
