Digital transformation helps leadership and direction better

NDO - On September 27, in Vung Tau city, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to organize a training conference on digital transformation for leaders and civil servants of the Department of Information and Communications of 19 southern provinces and departments, branches, districts, towns and cities of the province.

Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) Tran Thi Quoc Hien said that the training conference aims to promptly convey to southern localities policies and orientations for implementing digital transformation and building digital government in the coming time.

In addition, the Conference also discussed and shared with provinces and cities about the policy documents that the National Digital Transformation Agency has advised and developed. The Conference focused on clarifying the contents of digital transformation guidelines in 2025; the construction and completion of databases serving the construction of digital government; solutions to improve the efficiency of providing and using online public services; tasks and solutions to perfect the organizational apparatus, improve the capacity of state management to enforce laws on digital transformation. The National Digital Transformation Agency will discuss and clarify the contents of Decree No. 82/2024/ND-CP dated July 10, 2024 amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Decree No. 73/2019/ND-CP dated September 5, 2019 of the Government regulating the management of investment in information technology applications using state budget funds for localities to deploy and implement.

Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Do Huu Hien, said that digital transformation is gradually helping the province change the way it works, develop digital data in state agencies, and deploy many applications and services to help cadres, civil servants, and public employees work easily and conveniently. The leadership and direction of the provincial leaders are increasingly closer and more thorough. "Ba Ria-Vung Tau strives to basically complete digital transformation and form a smart urban model by 2030; fundamentally and comprehensively innovate the management and operation activities of the government, the production and business activities of enterprises, the way people live and work; the digital economy becomes the core foundation...", said the Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. At the conference, representatives of the National Digital Transformation Agency, Ministry of Information and Communications introduced an overview and clarified the Community Digital Technology Team, the implementation form and key contents to be implemented. After that, the working group of the Ministry of Information and Communications and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province conducted a field survey at the Community Digital Technology Team in Quarter 3, Ward 7, Vung Tau City.
