Digital transformation saves on document printing costs.

Unlike previous congresses, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Ha District, for the term 2024-2029, has quite a few innovations, especially in the printing and distribution of documents. Mr. Giang Seo Gia, former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ha District, shared: "We distributed invitations via the office. Documents such as reports and programs were only printed for a few delegates at the higher level. The rest were sent via the office. We saved paper; wherever we are, we can access the information on our computers."

In line with the directive of the Standing Committee of the Bac Ha District Party Committee on promoting the paperless meeting model, the Party committees under the District Party Committee have required all Party members to self-study and update their knowledge and skills related to digital transformation. Mr. Ly Seo Sung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ban Pho commune, Bac Ha district, said: "We have established a Zalo group between the Party secretary and the Party committee with the branch secretaries and other groups related to directing work in various fields. Party committee documents are mainly disseminated through the Zalo group. We no longer have to waste time printing and calling comrades to come here to collect documents for implementation."

Thanks to the accelerated digital transformation, the Bac Ha District Party Committee has saved hundreds of millions of dong.

Since 2022, the Bac Ha District Party Committee Office has ranked number one among Party and mass organization agencies in the province in the application of work schedule software, management and operational software, and paperless meeting rooms, with the rate of electronic document issuance reaching nearly 100%. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ha District Party Committee, said: "We disseminate the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, especially those related to ethnic minority areas, in the form of summaries and Q&A. Infographics allow people to access information more quickly, minimizing printing costs and preventing waste. This is especially important in leadership, guidance, and operational work."

With the acceleration of digital transformation, from 2021 to the present, the Bac Ha District Party Committee alone has saved hundreds of millions of dong on paper, not including the cost of ink, photocopying, stapling, sorting, recovering, and destroying surplus documents… This has contributed to effectively saving and preventing waste of the State budget.
